The Napa County Hispanic Chamber Foundation is thrilled to present the Latino Leadership Development Program—a unique opportunity dedicated to empowering emerging Latino leaders in Napa County. This program is designed to equip participants with the skills, insights, and strategies necessary to take on impactful roles in government, nonprofit, and corporate boards and commissions.
Event Overview:
The Latino Leadership Development Program is more than just training; it’s a commitment to fostering a future where Latino voices are actively represented in decision-making spaces. Through in-depth leadership development, advocacy training, and strategic planning, this two-day immersive experience will help participants strengthen their roles as advocates for inclusivity, diversity, and community advancement.

Program Structure:
Day 1: Leadership Foundations and Community Building
- Develop essential communication and leadership skills tailored for board and commission roles.
- Participate in practical exercises focused on leadership dynamics, organizational insights, and personal growth.
Day 2: Deepening Leadership and Shaping the Future
- Explore the integration of Latino cultural values in leadership, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) best practices, and vision-building for impactful roles.
- Engage in a panel discussion with established Latino leaders and present individual leadership plans.
Program Goals:
- Develop Leadership and Governance Skills for board and commission readiness.
- Equip Participants with DEI Strategies to enhance organizational responsiveness to diverse populations.
- Increase Latino Representation in critical decision-making roles, contributing to a more inclusive community.

Each attendee would receive: Training Materials and Assessments: Comprehensive materials, including assessments like DISC, handouts, and journals. Professional Facilitation: Sessions led by skilled facilitators, providing insights into leadership and board service. Venue Access: Comfortable meeting space reserved exclusively for program activities. Meals and Refreshments: Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages for both days of the program. Supplies: Supplies needed like, notepads, pens, paper handouts and notebooks.
